How To Do Dhanteras Puja?

Clean the puja area and decorate it with rangoli, flowers, and lights

Place a clean cloth on a chowki or altar

Install idols or images of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Dhanvantari

Keep a kalash with water, mango leaves, and a coconut if desired

Place coins, jewelry, utensils, or new purchases near the altar

Light a diya with ghee or oil

Light incense sticks

Offer flowers, roli, rice, sweets, fruits, and dry fruits

Apply tilak to the idols and family members

Chant Lakshmi and Ganesha mantras or recite Dhanteras puja prayers

Perform aarti with devotion

Offer prasad to everyone after the puja

Light diyas at the main entrance and around the house

Keep the house well lit throughout the evening

Avoid lending money or items on Dhanteras if following tradition
