How To Make Kajal At Home?

Wash and dry a small metal bowl, spoon, and lid

Take a clean cotton wick or cotton ball

Soak the cotton in pure ghee or sesame oil

Place the wick in a small clay lamp or metal diya

Light the wick and let it burn until it produces black soot on the underside of a lid or plate placed above it

Hold a clean steel plate, glass plate, or lid a few inches above the flame to collect the soot

Scrape the soot gently into a clean bowl

Mix the soot with a few drops of pure ghee, almond oil, or castor oil

Stir until it forms a smooth paste

Store the kajal in a clean airtight container

Keep it in a cool, dry place

Use a clean applicator each time to avoid contamination
