How To Make Fufu?

Wash and peel cassava (yuca)

Cut cassava into small pieces

Grate cassava finely

Press grated cassava in a cloth to remove liquid

Wash the pressed cassava mash with water, then press again

Repeat washing and pressing until the water runs clearer

Cook the cassava mash in a pot over medium heat, stirring constantly

Add a small amount of water as needed to prevent sticking

Cook and stir until the mixture becomes thick, smooth, and stretchy

Remove from heat and let it rest briefly

Shape into balls or lumps while hot

Serve immediately with soup or stew
