Gather colored paper, scissors, glue, a pencil, and a straw or stick
Cut the paper into a square or circle
Fold the paper in half
Fold it again into quarters
Unfold it and cut along one fold line to the center
Overlap one cut edge over the other to form a cone shape
Glue the overlapped edge to hold the cone
Cut a small hole at the top center if needed
Insert a straw, skewer, or stick through the top
Secure the stick with glue or tape
Cut a small circle or strip of paper for the handle
Attach the handle to the bottom of the stick
Open and adjust the paper canopy as needed
