Identify whether the paint is water-based or oil-based
If the paint is still wet, rinse the hair with warm water immediately
Work a small amount of conditioner, baby oil, coconut oil, or olive oil into the paint
Gently loosen the paint with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb
Wash the hair with shampoo
Repeat the oil and shampoo process if needed
For stubborn water-based paint, use dish soap sparingly and rinse well
For stubborn oil-based paint, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad and avoid the scalp
Avoid pulling or scrubbing hard
Trim only if the paint cannot be removed and a small section is affected
Seek professional help if the paint is close to the eyes or causes irritation
