Open the Instagram app or website
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Settings and privacy
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the Instagram account you want to remove
Choose Delete account
Follow the prompts
Enter your password if asked
Confirm the deletion
To temporarily disable the account, choose Deactivate account instead of Delete account
To permanently remove the account, complete the deletion process
