Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap Followers
Find the follower you want to remove
Tap Remove next to their name
Confirm if prompted
Set your account to Private to control future followers
Block the user if you want to prevent them from following again
Restrict the user if you want to limit interaction without blocking
Remove suspicious or fake followers by repeating the same steps
Use the Remove Followers option only on accounts you want to keep private
