Scrape off excess slime with a dull knife or spoon
Blot the area with a clean paper towel or cloth
Mix warm water with a small amount of dish soap
Apply the soapy solution to the stain with a cloth
Blot gently until the slime loosens
Use a soft brush to lift remaining residue
Rinse the area with clean water
Blot dry with a clean towel
Repeat as needed until the stain is gone
For stubborn slime, apply white vinegar and blot
Let the carpet air dry completely
Vacuum the area after it dries
