Burp the baby during and after feeds
Feed in a more upright position
Keep the baby upright for 15 to 30 minutes after feeding
Check the bottle nipple flow if bottle-feeding
Make sure the baby has a good latch if breastfeeding
Feed smaller amounts more often if advised by a pediatrician
Gently bicycle the baby’s legs
Massage the baby’s tummy gently
Give the baby supervised tummy time when awake
Rock, sway, or hold the baby upright
Try a warm bath
Avoid overfeeding
Keep the baby calm during feeds
Check for signs of swallowing air during feeding
Contact a pediatrician if gas is severe, persistent, or with vomiting, fever, poor feeding, or a swollen belly
