Keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard
Grip the handgun high on the backstrap with your dominant hand
Wrap your dominant hand firmly around the grip
Place your support hand on the exposed grip area
Align both thumbs forward, parallel to the frame
Apply firm, even pressure with both hands
Keep wrists locked and arms stable
Maintain a safe muzzle direction at all times
Ensure the handgun is unloaded before handling
