Go to the hospital immediately if you have bleeding, decreased fetal movement, severe pain, fever, or your water breaks
Follow only the induction plan recommended by your clinician
Avoid castor oil
Avoid herbal supplements or teas unless specifically approved by your clinician
Avoid using medications, laxatives, or enemas to start labor unless prescribed
Avoid nipple stimulation unless your clinician has said it is safe for you
Avoid sexual intercourse if your clinician has told you not to or if your water has broken
Avoid strenuous exercise or unproven methods
Rest, hydrate, and monitor fetal movement while waiting for medical guidance
