How To Make Fondue?

Gather cheese, dry white wine, garlic, cornstarch, lemon juice, and kirsch or brandy

Grate the cheese

Rub the fondue pot with a cut garlic clove

Add the wine and lemon juice to the pot

Heat over medium-low until hot, not boiling

Toss the grated cheese with cornstarch

Add the cheese gradually, stirring constantly until melted

Stir in kirsch or brandy

Season with black pepper and nutmeg if desired

Keep the fondue warm over low heat

Serve with bread cubes, vegetables, or fruit for dipping
