Pick fresh flowers that are dry and free of moisture
Choose a heavy book with smooth pages
Place the flower between two sheets of plain paper or parchment paper
Arrange the flower flat and spread petals carefully
Close the book gently
Put additional heavy books on top if needed
Leave the flower pressed for 1 to 3 weeks
Check the flower after a week and replace the paper if it feels damp
Remove the flower carefully when fully dry and flat
Store the pressed flower in a dry, flat place
