Disconnect the negative battery cable
Locate the alternator and remove any covers or intake parts blocking access
Release tension from the serpentine belt
Remove the belt from the alternator pulley
Unplug the electrical connectors from the alternator
Remove the mounting bolts
Take out the old alternator
Position the new alternator in place
Install and tighten the mounting bolts
Reconnect the electrical connectors
Route the belt over the alternator pulley
Reapply tension to the belt
Reinstall any removed covers or intake parts
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Start the engine and check that the alternator is charging properly
