How To Replace Fuel Injectors?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Relieve fuel system pressure

Remove the engine cover if equipped

Disconnect the air intake components if they block access

Unplug the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors

Remove the fuel rail retaining bolts

Carefully lift the fuel rail with the injectors attached

Remove the injector retaining clips or fasteners

Pull the old injectors out of the fuel rail

Remove and replace the injector O-rings and seals

Lubricate the new O-rings with clean engine oil

Install the new injectors into the fuel rail

Reinstall the retaining clips or fasteners

Position the fuel rail and injectors back into place

Press the injectors fully into the intake manifold or cylinder head

Reinstall the fuel rail bolts and tighten to specification

Reconnect the injector electrical connectors

Reinstall any removed intake components and engine covers

Reconnect the negative battery terminal

Turn the ignition on and check for fuel leaks

Start the engine and verify proper operation
