File the top coat of the shellac lightly to break the seal
Soak cotton pads or cotton balls with acetone-based nail polish remover
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil or use nail clips
Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes
Remove one wrap and check if the shellac is lifting
Gently push off softened shellac with a cuticle pusher or orange stick
Rewrap any nails that still have polish remaining
Buff away any leftover residue lightly
Wash hands and apply cuticle oil or moisturizer
