Preheat oven to 425°F
Pat chicken breasts dry
Season with salt, pepper, and any desired spices
Rub with a little oil or melted butter
Place on a baking sheet or in a baking dish
Roast for 18 to 25 minutes, depending on thickness
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes
Slice and serve
