How To Sharpen Hair Clippers?

Unplug the clippers and remove the blade set

Separate the moving blade from the stationary blade

Mark the blade edge so you can track the sharpening surface

Hold the blade at the original factory angle

Move the blade evenly across the sharpening surface

Sharpen both cutting edges with consistent pressure

Keep the stroke count equal on both sides

Remove burrs with a finer stone or honing surface

Clean the blades again to remove metal dust

Apply a few drops of clipper oil to the blade

Reassemble the blades in the correct alignment

Tighten the screws securely but not overly tight

Test the clippers on a small section of hair or a test material

Adjust blade alignment if cutting is uneven

Replace the blades if they are too damaged to sharpen
