Open the Camera app or webcam software on your computer
Allow camera access if prompted
Position yourself or the subject in front of the camera
Adjust the camera view if needed
Click the photo button or shutter icon
Save the picture when prompted
Find the saved image in your Pictures or Camera Roll folder
