How To Grill Pork Chops?

Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 375–450°F / 190–230°C)

Pat pork chops dry with paper towels

Season both sides with salt and pepper; add optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, dried herbs)

Lightly oil the grill grates or brush chops with a small amount of oil

Place chops on the grill and close the lid

Grill 4–6 minutes per side for 1-inch chops (adjust time for thickness)

Flip once using tongs; avoid pressing the chops

Cook to safe internal temperature:

145°F / 63°C for medium (rest 3 minutes)

For thicker chops, use indirect heat:

Sear over direct heat, then move to indirect heat until reaching 145°F / 63°C

Rest chops 3–5 minutes before serving

Optional: Brush with sauce during the last 2–3 minutes of grilling to avoid burning
