Open Windows Settings
Go to Apps
Select Installed apps (or Apps & features)
Search for McAfee (e.g., McAfee LiveSafe, McAfee Total Protection, McAfee Antivirus)
Click the McAfee app
Select Uninstall
Follow the on-screen prompts
Reboot the PC if prompted
Open the McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) tool
Download MCPR from the official McAfee website
Run the MCPR tool
Accept the prompts and confirm removal
Restart the PC when finished
Remove leftover folders (if present)
Delete folders such as:
C:Program FilesMcAfee
C:ProgramDataMcAfee
C:Program Files (x86)McAfee
Empty the Recycle Bin
Remove remaining services/tasks (if present)
Open Task Manager
End any McAfee-related processes
Open Services (services.msc)
Stop and disable McAfee-related services
Delete leftover McAfee scheduled tasks in Task Scheduler
