Draw a long, slightly curved trunk
Add a few horizontal lines across the trunk for texture
Sketch a small crown at the top of the trunk
Draw several long, curved fronds radiating outward from the crown
Add pointed leaflets along each frond
Vary the length and angle of the fronds
Refine the trunk shape and leaf edges
Erase any extra guidelines
Add shading if desired
