Check the care label first

Gently hand wash the cap
Avoid twisting or wringing the cap
Rinse with cool water until soap is gone
Press out excess water with a towel
Reshape the cap
Air dry on a clean towel or cap form
Keep away from direct heat and sunlight
Do not machine wash unless the label says it is safe
