Let the wax harden completely
Scrape off excess wax with a dull knife or credit card
Place a paper towel or brown paper bag over the wax stain
Run a warm iron over the paper towel briefly to melt and absorb the wax
Replace the paper towel as wax transfers
Repeat until no more wax lifts out
Wash the fabric according to the care label
Check the stain before drying
Repeat treatment if any wax remains
For delicate fabrics, use a hair dryer on low heat instead of an iron
For colored wax residue, treat the area with a stain remover before washing
