Blot up any excess detergent with a clean cloth
Rinse the stained area with cold water
Apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent to the stain
Gently rub the fabric against itself or use a soft brush
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Rinse thoroughly with cold water
Repeat if the stain remains
Wash the item according to the care label
Air dry and check that the stain is gone before using heat
For carpet or upholstery, blot with water and repeat until the residue is removed
