Strip all bedding, pillows, and mattress protectors
Wash sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and duvet covers according to care labels
Vacuum the mattress, bed frame, headboard, and under the bed
Spot clean mattress stains with a mild cleaner or baking soda paste
Deodorize the mattress with baking soda, then vacuum it off
Wipe the bed frame and headboard with a damp cloth and suitable cleaner
Clean slats, rails, and corners where dust collects
Rotate or flip the mattress if recommended by the manufacturer
Dry all cleaned surfaces completely before remaking the bed
Remake the bed with clean, dry bedding
Clean pillows or replace them if needed
Repeat regular cleaning weekly or as needed
