Unplug the vacuum
Empty the dust cup
Remove and wash the dust cup if needed
Detach the filters
Tap out loose dirt from the filters
Wash washable filters with water only
Let filters air-dry completely
Remove hair and debris from the brush roll
Clean the brush roll housing
Wipe the vacuum body with a damp cloth
Check and clear the hose and attachments
Inspect for clogs in the wand and nozzle
Reassemble all parts
Replace filters if damaged or worn
