How To Disassemble A Glock?

Ensure the firearm is unloaded

Point the muzzle in a safe direction

Remove the magazine

Lock the slide open

Visually and physically inspect the chamber, magazine well, and breech face to confirm no ammunition is present

Release the slide and let it go forward on the empty chamber

Pull the trigger in a safe direction

Hold the pistol firmly

Pull the slide slightly to the rear

Pull down both slide lock tabs

Push the slide assembly forward off the frame

Remove the recoil spring assembly from the slide

Remove the barrel from the slide

Reassemble in reverse order

Perform a final safety check before handling or storing the firearm
