How To Dry Tomatoes?

Wash and dry the tomatoes

Remove stems

Slice tomatoes evenly

Remove seeds if desired

Arrange slices in a single layer

Sprinkle lightly with salt if desired

Dry in a dehydrator at 125°F to 135°F

Dry in an oven at the lowest setting with the door slightly open

Dry in the sun in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place

Turn slices occasionally for even drying

Continue until tomatoes are leathery or crisp

Cool completely before storing

Store in an airtight container

Keep in a cool, dark place

Refrigerate or freeze for longer storage
