Check the exterior of the vehicle, especially under the bumpers, wheel wells, and undercarriage
Inspect the front and rear bumpers for small magnetic or wired devices
Look inside the wheel wells and behind plastic liners
Examine the engine bay for unfamiliar wires, boxes, or tape
Check under the dashboard, steering column, and around the OBD-II port
Inspect beneath the seats and inside seat pockets
Look in the glove box, center console, and trunk
Check inside the spare tire compartment and around the battery area
Look under the car with a flashlight for attached devices
Use a GPS signal detector or RF detector to scan the vehicle
Search for unfamiliar wiring, zip ties, adhesive mounts, or magnetic attachments
Compare any device found with your car’s installed factory equipment
If you suspect unauthorized tracking, contact a licensed mechanic or law enforcement
