Look for devices facing beds, bathrooms, changing areas, or private spaces
Turn off the lights and use a flashlight to spot lens reflections
Use your phone camera to scan for infrared LEDs in dark areas
Look for unfamiliar Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices on your network
Use a radio frequency detector to scan for active wireless cameras
Check mirrors for suspicious reflections or gaps around edges
Examine vents, picture frames, shelves, plants, and stuffed objects
Search for extra wires, hidden batteries, or unusual power sources
Compare objects in the room against what should normally be there
Physically inspect any device that seems out of place
Cover suspected lenses temporarily and see if anything changes
If you find one, do not tamper with it more than necessary
Preserve the device and document its location with photos
