Blot up as much urine as possible with paper towels or a clean cloth
Rinse the stained area with cold water
Soak the clothing in cold water for 30 to 60 minutes
Apply an enzyme cleaner made for pet urine
Let the enzyme cleaner sit for the time listed on the label
Wash the clothing in cold water with regular detergent
Add baking soda or white vinegar if the fabric care label allows it
Check for odor and stain before drying
Repeat the treatment if needed
Air-dry the clothing until the smell is completely gone
Avoid using hot water or a dryer until the stain and odor are removed
