Wash feet daily with soap and water
Dry feet completely, especially between the toes
Change socks every day, or more often if sweaty
Wear clean, breathable socks made of cotton or moisture-wicking material
Rotate shoes so each pair can dry out fully
Use foot powder or antifungal powder
Spray or sprinkle baking soda inside shoes
Wear shoes made of breathable materials
Avoid wearing the same shoes two days in a row
Use antiperspirant on feet
Trim toenails regularly
Remove dead skin with gentle exfoliation
Treat athlete’s foot if present
Soak feet in vinegar or Epsom salt occasionally
Keep shoes and insoles clean
Replace old, smelly insoles
Go barefoot at home when possible
See a doctor if the smell persists or there is redness, itching, or pain
