Make sure all players are on the same local network
Open Minecraft on the host computer
Start a world or open an existing world
Press Esc
Click Open to LAN
Choose the game mode and cheats settings if needed
Click Start LAN World
Note the port number shown in chat
On the other computer, open Minecraft
Click Multiplayer
Wait for the LAN world to appear
Click the LAN world to join
If it does not appear, click Direct Connection
Enter the host computer’s local IP address and port number
Click Join Server
