Identify the ant trail and nest location
Remove food, water, and shelter sources
Clean surfaces with soap and water to erase scent trails
Seal cracks, gaps, and entry points
Use ant bait stations near trails and entry points
Replace bait regularly until activity stops
Apply a labeled ant insecticide around exterior entry points if needed
Treat the nest directly only if the product label allows it
Use diatomaceous earth in dry, sheltered areas if appropriate
Trim vegetation and keep soil and debris away from the foundation
Store food in sealed containers
Empty trash regularly and keep bins closed
Repeat treatment and monitoring until no ants remain
