How To Make A Macrame Plant Hanger?

Gather macrame cord, scissors, a measuring tape, and a ring or loop for hanging

Cut 8 equal lengths of cord

Fold each cord in half and attach them to the ring using lark’s head knots

Separate the cords into 4 groups of 4 strands

Tie square knots or spiral knots in each group a few inches below the ring

Gather cords from neighboring groups and tie another row of knots lower down

Repeat knotting in alternating patterns to form the hanger body

Leave an opening in the middle for the plant pot

Tie all cords together below the pot to form the base

Secure the bottom with a tight knot

Trim the ends evenly or leave them fringed

Place the pot inside the hanger and adjust the cords as needed

Hang the plant hanger from a sturdy hook
