Open your Google Slides presentation
Insert the image if it is not already on the slide
Click the image to select it
Select Format options from the toolbar or right-click menu
In the Format options panel, expand Adjustments
Move the Transparency slider to the right
Release the slider when the image reaches the desired transparency
Close the Format options panel
