Read the manufacturer’s instructions first
Wash your hands
Rinse the mouth guard before heating
Bring a pot of water to a boil, then remove it from heat
Place the mouth guard in the hot water for the recommended time
Remove it with tongs or a spoon
Let it cool briefly until it is safe to handle
Put the mouth guard in your mouth
Bite down gently and press it against your teeth with your fingers and tongue
Suck in lightly to help shape it around your teeth
Use your fingers to press the guard against your molars and front teeth
Close your lips and hold the guard in place for the recommended time
Remove the mouth guard and place it in cold water to set
Check the fit
Repeat the molding process if needed, following the product instructions
Trim any excess material only if the manufacturer allows it
Clean the mouth guard after molding and after each use
