Open Instagram in a web browser or the Instagram app
Go to your profile
Open Settings and privacy
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the Instagram account you want to delete
Choose Delete account
Follow the prompts
Enter your password if asked
Confirm the deletion request
Use the Instagram delete account page if needed
Log in to the account you want to delete
Select a reason for deletion
Re-enter your password
Tap or click Delete account permanently
Keep in mind the account is usually scheduled for deletion first
Log in again before the deletion period ends if you want to cancel the deletion
