Open Instagram and start creating a Story, Reel, or post
Tap the sticker icon in Stories
Select the GIF sticker
Search for a GIF using the search bar
Tap the GIF you want to add
Resize or move the GIF on the screen
Publish or share your content
To add a GIF to a post, create the image or video in a third-party app first
Add the GIF in a design or editing app
Save the edited content as a video or image
Upload it to Instagram
To add a GIF to your profile, use a GIF as your profile video or create a looping image outside Instagram
Upload the finished file through Instagram’s supported options
If GIF stickers do not appear, update the Instagram app
Check your internet connection
Try logging out and back in
Reinstall the app if needed
