Open your Word document
Go to the Layout tab
Click Line Numbers
Select the line numbering option you want
Choose Continuous, Restart Each Page, Restart Each Section, or suppress line numbers for the current paragraph if needed
To customize line numbers, click Line Numbering Options
In the Page Setup window, click Line Numbers
Adjust the settings as needed
Click OK
Click OK again to apply the changes
