Select the option for passport reissue or update of personal details
Choose the marital status or spouse name update option, if available
Fill in the application form with your wife’s name exactly as per her official documents
Upload the required documents, such as marriage certificate and identity proof
Pay the applicable fee
Book an appointment at the passport office, if required
Visit the passport office with original documents and photocopies
Complete biometrics and verification, if asked
Wait for processing and dispatch of the updated passport
Check the passport after receiving it to confirm the wife’s name is added correctly
