Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan
Mash 3 ripe bananas in a bowl
Mix in 1/2 cup melted butter
Stir in 3/4 cup sugar
Add 1 beaten egg
Mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt
Fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes
Check doneness with a toothpick inserted into the center
Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes
Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
Slice and serve
