How to Be a Judge in India?

Earn a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution

Enroll as an advocate with a State Bar Council

Gain legal practice experience as an advocate

Prepare for and clear the Judicial Services Examination of the respective state

Meet the age and eligibility criteria set by the recruiting authority

Clear the preliminary examination, main examination, and interview

Complete any required training after selection

Be appointed as a Civil Judge or Judicial Magistrate
