Meet Florida eligibility requirements
Be at least 18 years old
Be a legal Florida resident
Be able to read, write, and understand English
Have no disqualifying felony conviction unless civil rights have been restored
Complete a Florida notary education course
Obtain a $7,500 notary bond
Purchase notary errors and omissions insurance if desired
Complete the Florida notary application
Have the application signed by a notary public
Submit the application, bond, and required fee through an approved bonding agency
Receive your notary commission from the State of Florida
Purchase required notary supplies
Obtain an official notary seal
Keep a notary journal if you choose to do so
Follow Florida notary laws and duties
Renew your commission before it expires
