Complete 10+2 from a recognized board, preferably with science subjects
Earn a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as forestry, agriculture, botany, zoology, environmental science, or a related discipline
Check the eligibility criteria for your country or state forest service exam
Prepare for the required competitive examination, such as State Forest Service Exam or UPSC Indian Forest Service Exam
Study subjects like general studies, forestry, ecology, environment, current affairs, aptitude, and optional subjects if applicable
Develop strong physical fitness and meet the medical standards required for the post
Apply for the exam when the notification is released
Clear the written examination
Clear the interview or personality test
Complete the required training at the forest training institute or academy
Get appointed as a forest officer after successful training and selection
Gain experience and continue professional development through field work and advanced training
