How To Blanch Spinach?

Rinse the spinach thoroughly under cold water

Remove any tough stems or damaged leaves

Bring a large pot of water to a boil

Prepare a bowl of ice water

Add the spinach to the boiling water

Blanch for 30 seconds to 1 minute

Remove the spinach with a slotted spoon or strainer

Immediately transfer the spinach to the ice water

Let it cool completely

Drain the spinach well

Squeeze out excess water if needed

Use immediately or store as desired
