Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Settings and privacy
Tap Messages and story replies
Tap Message controls
Choose who can send you message requests
Set message requests to Off for the people you want to block
Repeat for followers, people you follow, and others as needed
Go back to save the changes
