Open the Instagram app
Tap the plus icon to create a new post, Story, Reel, or DM
Select the GIF from your device if it is saved as a video file or compatible format
If posting to a Story, tap the sticker icon and choose the GIF sticker option to search and add a GIF
If sending in a DM, tap the sticker or GIF option in the chat and select a GIF
If you want to post a GIF as a feed post, convert it to a video format first
Upload the converted file from your gallery
Add captions, stickers, or other edits if needed
Tap Share or Send to post it
