Open the Files app
Browse to the file you want to delete
Touch and hold the file
Tap Delete
Confirm if prompted
To delete multiple files, tap Select
Choose the files you want to remove
Tap Delete
Confirm if prompted
To delete photos, open the Photos app
Select the photo or video
Tap the Trash icon
Tap Delete Photo or Delete Video
To delete apps, touch and hold the app icon
Tap Remove App
Tap Delete App
Confirm if prompted
To delete messages, open the Messages app
Touch and hold the message or attachment
Tap More
Tap the Trash icon
Confirm if prompted
To delete downloads, open the app where the file was saved
Find the downloaded file
Delete it using the app’s delete option
To permanently remove deleted files, open the Recently Deleted folder
Select the files
Tap Delete or Delete All
Confirm if prompted
